Aimed at increasing everyone’s musical literacy, this class is a great introduction to music theory for tune players and accompanists alike. Reading music, rhythm, scales, chords and basic harmony are covered and related to Celtic tunes and songs. Specific approaches to ear training will also be taught – a very important skill in learning tunes and playing in sessions! The material covered will also help those interested to prepare to sit for the RCM music theory examinations.
